Join Eagleton for an engaging presentation from Steve Adubato, PhD about the lessons he learned over three decades as a broadcaster on public television. Dr. Adubato will also share his experiences interviewing top government leaders and policy experts, as well las his experience as New Jersey’s youngest state legislator in the 1980s.
About Dr. Adubato
Dr. Steve Adubato is a broadcaster, author, and motivational speaker. A trainer and coach in the areas of leadership and communication skills, Steve also served in the mid 1980’s as New Jersey’s youngest state legislator at the age of 26.
He is an Emmy® Award-winning anchor for programs airing on Thirteen/WNET (PBS) and NJ PBS, such as State of Affairs with Steve Adubato and Think Tank with Steve Adubato, weekly, public policy series exploring critical policy issues on the state and national level. He is also host of the series, “Democracy at a Crossroads” on public broadcasting, featuring guests such as NJ Governor Phil Murphy, former governor and presidential candidate Chris Christie, as well as US Senators, Bob Menendez, and Cory Booker.
Steve has appeared on NBC’s TODAY Show, CNN, NPR, MSNBC, and FOX News as a media and political analyst and is also the host of Steve Adubato’s Lessons in Leadership with Co-host Mary Gamba, which airs on News 12+, and is based on his latest book, “Lessons in Leadership” and the soon to be published book, “Lessons in Leadership 2.0: The Tough Stuff.”
Dr. Adubato has served as a distinguished visiting professor on the subject of leadership at Rutgers University, New York University and has also lectured at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, the United States Military Academy at West Point as well as Seton Hall University as a Buccino Leadership Institute Fellow. His academic research and writing has focused on the role of the media in a democracy and the current state of leadership, communications, media, and journalism in America.
