Stuart Shapiro
Professor of Public Policy; Faculty Associate
Ph.D., Harvard University

Shapiro has been a professor at the Bloustein School since 2003. His area of focus is regulatory policy and how policy analysis is used to make decisions in a political context. Shapiro is the author of two books, Analysis and Public Policy: Successes, Failures, and Directions for Reform and The Politics of Regulatory Reform. He has also written articles for journals in political science, public administration, public policy, and economics, as well as for law reviews. He teaches classes in micro-economics, cost-benefit analysis, and regulatory politics. Prior to coming to Rutgers, Shapiro worked at the Office of Management and Budget under Presidents Bush (43) and Clinton.
