Cai Barias is a program and events coordinator at CAWP. In this role, she manages the Ready to Run® program and the Senator Wynona Lipman Chair in Women’s Political Leadership, and provides organizational support for lectures, forums, and educational programs at the Center. 

Cai is currently a Ph.D. student in Asian and Asian American women’s history at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she researches transnational women’s activism through the frameworks of race, diaspora, and nationalism in the 20th century. She is currently involved in a public history program with Filipina on the Rise and serves as a mentor for FilExcellence’s Global Mentorship Program. Cai previously worked as a research assistant and teaching assistant at UMass and was involved in student and labor organizations in Amherst. She earned her B.A. in History from Barnard College.
