Eagleton Hosts Governor Phil Murphy and Rutgers President Dr. William F. Tate, IV at Welcome Reception

This week at Eagleton, in partnership with Rutgers Government Relations, the Institute welcomed New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and Rutgers University’s 22nd president, Dr. William F. Tate IV, at Wood Lawn. The event, a gathering to foster meaningful introductions and conversations between the President and the leaders who help shape political life and public policy statewide, included remarks from Eagleton’s Director, Dr. Elizabeth C. Matto, Rutgers New Brunswick Chancellor Francine Conway, Governor Murphy, President Tate, and Senior Vice President of Rutgers Government Relations, Francine Newsome Pfeiffer. Remarks highlighted the need for civic and higher education, with President Tate underlining the undeniable impact Rutgers University has had on all areas of study, from medical research and engineering to supply chain and public policy.
