Join Professor David Greenberg for an engaging evening discussion about his latest publication, John Lewis: A Life, a compelling biography that explores the life and legacy of the civil rights icon. Before the talk, enjoy a light reception where you can mingle with fellow attendees.
David Greenberg is a professor of history and of journalism & media studies at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, and a frequent commentator in the national news media on contemporary politics and public affairs. He specializes in American political and cultural history. His most recent book, John Lewis: A Life (Simon & Schuster, 2024) was named one of the best books of the year by The New York Times, Kirkus Reviews, Amazon, and other outlets. In the New York Times Book Review, Brent Staples called it “panoramic and richly insightful biography” and said it sets a new standard in political biography. Greenberg’s other books include Republic of Spin: An Inside History of the American Presidency (W.W. Norton, 2016) and Nixon’s Shadow: The History of an Image (W.W. Norton, 2003).
