YELP Launches New Data on Current Demographics of US State Legislatures

The Young Elected Leaders Project (YELP) is excited to announce the launch of its state legislatures data, tracking the generational, gender, and ethnic composition of U.S. state legislatures elected in 2024 and 2025 in New Jersey and Virginia. YELP’s data allows us to examine the demographics and partisanship of young elected leaders in comparison to other generations, giving insights into the story of the current political landscape and impacts of the incoming generation’s leadership in public service.
