Jordan Hollander is an experienced attorney and gaming regulator, currently serving as an Assistant Director of the New Jersey Racing Commission, overseeing par-mutuel wagering operations since February 2026.
Jordan previously served as a Deputy Attorney General and Assistant Section Chief of Casino Licensing for the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, primarily handling casino and employee licensing pursuant to the New Jersey Casino Control Act and Sports Wagering Act. He conducted and coordinated investigations of licensing applications for individuals and corporate entities in the casino and sports wagering industries and prosecuted violations before the New Jersey Casino Control Commission and New Jersey Superior Court. He was the primary DAG assigned to the casino licensure of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City and Bally’s Atlantic City, as well as the sports wagering licensure of the Meadowlands Racetrack, Monmouth Park Racetrack, and Freehold Raceway.
Previously, Jordan was an Associate with Genova Burns LLC and served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Francis J. Vernoia, Presiding Criminal Judge, New Jersey Superior Court, Monmouth County. He has published several law review articles on gaming law topics and is a frequent presenter at industry and continuing legal education events.
Jordan holds a LLM in Gaming Law and Regulation from the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law, a JD, summa cum laude, from Rutgers Law School – Camden, a M.Sc. in Comparative European Politics from Trinity College, Dublin, and a BA, summa cum laude, in Political Science, International Studies, and French from Lycoming College. During his time at Rutgers, Jordan was a Governor’s Executive Fellow with the Eagleton Institute of Politics.
Jordan was a member of the 40 Under 40 Emerging Leaders of Gaming for the class of 2018-2019, a recipient of a 2019 New Jersey Law Journal New Leader of the Bar award, and a recipient of a 2019 New Jersey Attorney General’s Team Award for Excellence in a Regulatory Matter for the initial casino licensing of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City. He currently serves as a member of the Rutgers Eagleton Institute of Politics Alumni Committee, is a Past-Chair and current Trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Casino Law Section, and is a Member of the Emerging Leaders of Gaming Alumni Advisory Board.
