Ginger Gold Schnitzer

Ginger Gold Schnitzer is director of government relations for the New Jersey Education Association. She is responsible for promoting legislation and regulations that advance public education and public employment. She also directs NJEA’s efforts in electing NJEA PAC-endorsed candidates to public office.

Schnitzer was elected three times to the Plainsboro Township Committee and served on that body from March of 2000 until October 2008.  Previously, she was president of the Plainsboro Public Library Foundation and vice-chair of the Plainsboro Township Zoning Board. In 2008, Schnitzer was appointed to serve as a member of the Electoral College. She was also a 2005 Leadership New Jersey Fellow. Schnitzer previously taught public administration/ policy making as an adjunct professor in the Department of Political Science at Rutgers University.  From 1994 until May of 2004, she was also a part-time music teacher at the Religious School of Temple Beth El in Somerset.

Schnitzer holds a BA in political science from Douglass College, Rutgers University, as well as a JD from the Villanova University School of Law and a master of government administration from the University of Pennsylvania.
