RU Voting’s Campus-Wide Campaign to Get Out the Vote for New Jersey

The Center for Youth Political Participation’s (CYPP) RU Voting crew was busy this season to ensure New Jersey got out to vote for the gubernatorial election! In the lead-up to Election Day, RU Voting hosted 62 tabling events from September to November 3, resulting in a total of 2,330 interactions. On Election Day, RU Voting hosted eight voter mobilization tables across all five campuses and enlisted the help of 41 student volunteers and Eagleton staff to support the community in their voting plans. Volunteers recorded approximately 1,169 interactions across all campuses during Election Day, with the table at The Yard on Rutgers-New Brunswick campus having 317 interactions in six hours.
