On January 23, the Center for Youth Political Participation (CYPP) hosted its first spring RU Ready Civics Fair at Carteret High School for 200 US History II students. Led by a team of trained RU Ready Interns, the RU Ready Civics Fair is a free, expo-style event for area high schools and middle schools to enhance civic skill-building and introduce community problem solving. The program anticipates working with approximately 3,200 students this academic year, with plans to expand to more rural districts in the upcoming years.
