Miller Center for Community Protection and Resilience

Established in 2018, the Miller Center for Community Protection and Resilience (CPR) engages in education and public service focused on protecting vulnerable communities. Projects identify and disseminate best practices, offer training workshops, consult on security and civil liberties, and undertake research. The Miller Center was made possible through a generous gift from Rutgers alumnus Paul S. Miller to the Eagleton Institute and Rutgers Law.

The CPR mission “recognizes the world of vulnerable communities we now inhabit and the resurgence of hate that threatens them. Stated simply, the role of the center is to help break down barriers and instead to build bridges between vulnerable communities and law enforcement, vulnerable and majority communities and among the communities themselves,” said CPR director John J. Farmer, Jr.
